Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026  ·  Version 1.1

These terms govern your access to and use of the Zedmail service. By creating an account you agree to be bound by these terms in full.

1. The Service

Zedmail provides transactional email sending infrastructure — a REST API and SMTP relay — that lets developers and businesses send email from their own applications. All servers and data are located in Canada.

The service is operated under the trade name Zedmail (zedmail.com) by Ozonagram Ltd, Suite M162, 110 Didsbury Road, Ottawa, Ontario K2T 0C2, Canada.

2. Eligibility and Registration

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to accept these terms on behalf of yourself or your organisation. By registering, you represent that the account information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Zedmail only to send email for which you have a valid legal basis to contact the recipient. Specifically, you must:

In addition, Zedmail may not be used to send email for, market, promote, or operate any of the following prohibited businesses or activities, whether or not the underlying operation is licensed or legal in your own jurisdiction:

Because Zedmail is operated from Canada (see Governing Law below), we will not provide email infrastructure for activities that are unlawful under Canadian law, regardless of where you or your recipients are located.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without notice in serious cases.

4. Sandbox and Production Mode

New accounts start in sandbox mode. In this mode, sending is limited to 200 emails/day and only to verified test addresses. To send to real recipients you must request production access, subject to approval by our team.

Production accounts are subject to a daily sending limit (default 2,000 emails/day). You may request a higher limit from the Billing page of your dashboard.

5. Billing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries.

The first 200 emails each day are included at no charge. No payment method is required to send within that allowance. The daily allowance does not accumulate: a day on which you send fewer than 200 does not add the remainder to another day. Once a payment method is on file the same daily allowance continues to apply, and only usage above it is billed at the applicable rate (see our homepage for current pricing).

Invoicing occurs on the 1st of each month for the prior month's usage. Amounts below the billing minimum are rolled to the following month. By adding a payment method, you authorise Zedmail to charge your card via our payment processor (Paddle) for monthly usage.

All charges are non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or at our sole discretion.

6. Service Level Commitment

6.1 Scope. This commitment applies to production accounts. Sandbox accounts are excluded.

6.2 Commitment. Zedmail will use commercially reasonable efforts to make the Submission Endpoints available with a Monthly Uptime Percentage of at least 99.5% during each calendar month.

6.3 Definitions.

6.4 What this does not cover. This commitment covers our acceptance of your messages for delivery. It does not cover delivery to a recipient's mailbox, which depends on receiving servers outside our control. Section 9 continues to apply to delivery outcomes.

6.5 Service Credits. If the Monthly Uptime Percentage falls below 99.5% in a calendar month, you may claim a credit calculated on your charges for that month:

Credits are applied against a future invoice and are not payable in cash.

6.6 Exclusions. This commitment does not apply to unavailability arising from: (a) factors outside our reasonable control, including recipient systems, the public internet, DNS you operate, or force majeure; (b) your own configuration, code, credentials, or exceeding the limits applicable to your account; (c) maintenance announced at least 24 hours in advance; (d) suspension or termination under section 7; or (e) sandbox accounts.

6.7 Claims. Email hello@zedmail.com within 30 days of the end of the affected month, with “SLA Credit Request” in the subject line and the dates, times and request identifiers concerned. Our monitoring records are the measurement of record for this section and will be provided to you on request.

6.8 Sole remedy. Service Credits are your sole and exclusive remedy for any failure by us to meet this commitment.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if:

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@zedmail.com. Your account data is retained for 90 days following termination, then permanently deleted.

8. Intellectual Property

Zedmail and its software components are the property of Ozonagram Ltd and their respective authors. These terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the service. You retain all rights to the content of your emails and your sending data.

9. Limitation of Liability

Except for the Service Level Commitment in section 6, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zedmail is provided "as is" with no warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee 100% delivery of emails sent through the service, as delivery depends in part on factors outside our control, such as recipient mail servers.

In no event will Ozonagram Ltd be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. Our total liability to you for any cause will not exceed the amounts you have paid us in the preceding three months.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Province of Ontario.

11. Changes

We may modify these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-dashboard notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
